Philip Armstrong Appointed to PanCaribbean Board

Pan Caribbean Financial Services Limited (PCFS) has announced the appointment of Philip Armstrong, Deputy CEO of Pan Caribbean Financial Services Limited and Managing Director of PanCaribbeanBank Limited to its board of directors effective February 27, 2012.

Donovan H. Perkins, President  & CEO, Pan Caribbean Financial Services indicated, "We are delighted to have Philip join the Board and leverage his experience within the Group. He has been in attendance at our Board meetings, and making valuable contributions there. Accordingly, the Board thought it appropriate to formally invite him as a Director."

An engineer by training, Philip Armstrong brings over 18 years of securities, derivatives and financial expertise gained from New York and Jamaica. He joined the group in 2002 from Citibank locally where he was Resident Vice President. “I appreciate the confidence that our Chairman, Donovan, and the Board have shown in me.  I look forward to contributing to the growth of PanCaribbean”, says Mr. Armstrong.

Philip is a graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and is currently Vice President of the Jamaica Bankers Association and a Director of British Caribbean Insurance Company. He is an avid cricket fan and jogs when his job allows him to get some exercise.  

Pan Caribbean Financial Services Limited is a member of the Sagicor Group and a member of the Jamaica Stock Exchange.  In 2012, CariCRIS, the Caribbean’s Regional Credit Rating Agency, reaffirmed PanCaribbean’s jmA+ credit rating.  PanCaribbean was awarded in 2011, the prestigious Governor General’s Award for Excellency, the Best Practices Awards for Annual Report and the Best Practice Corporate Disclosure & Investor Relations Award by the Jamaica Stock Exchange and was named Company of the Year by Investor’s Choice magazine.
