Halloween Thrills & a Samsung Tablet from FlowOnDemand

‘Tis the season to be scary and Flow OnDemand is cranking up the thrills with their Scary October movie mania. This Halloween, the ghouls, ghosts, the goblins, the skeletons and the psychos are looking to overrun home theatre systems across Jamaica as movie lovers turn up the volume on their favourite horror films, and have a chance to win a Samsung Tablet by proving they are not easily scared.

From Shutter Island and Hannibal to White Noise 1 and 2, a host of horror films are at the fingertips of Flow OnDemand viewers during this Halloween period. More than twenty of the most highly rated horror films with the greatest hair-raising zombies, crazies, psychos and paranormal activity of recent times are available in one place to be viewed at the consumers’ convenience, each for less the cost of a movie ticket.

Amid all the excitement of the Halloween festivities on Flow onDemand, two 7” Samsung Galaxy tablets are up for grabs for the two movie lovers brave enough to watch these titles, possibly over and over again. From October 14 – 31 the two customers who watch the most movie titles from the Halloween folder on Channel 1000 will each earn one of the two devices.

This October is set to be the scariest one yet on Flow OnDemand with many titles placed in a special Halloween category on the Flow OnDemand Movies menu. These include The Wolfman, Woman In Black, Case 39, Dawn of the Dead, Jennifer’s Body, Land of the Dead, Red Dragon, Monster Ark, White Noise 2, Children of the Corn: Genesis, Grave Encounters 2, Hellraiser Revelations, Dark Relic, White Noise, Black Swan, Van Helsing and The Haunted Mansion.

Academy Award winning actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio in Shutter Island and Sir Anthony Hopkins, whose portrayal of the cannibalistic serial killer Hannibal Lector in Hannibal and Red Dragon is legendary, viewers are sure to be sleeping with the lights on. The intense drama Black Swan might be all that those who might be a little short on courage can handle. Zombie enthusiasts will die for Dawn of the Dead and Land of the Dead.

“Our technology enables us to deliver the best value entertainment for consumers. With Flow OnDemand movie fans can watch what they want, when they want to watch it in the comfort of their home,” said Donovan White, vice president of sales and marketing for Columbus Communications, operators of Flow. “Everyone wants company when they watch a scary movie, so this offer is a great opportunity to have a Halloween movie party with family and friends and watch some of the greatest scary movies of all time.”

OnDemand television is another innovation brought to the cable television landscape via the broadband technology that Columbus has brought to Jamaica. Flow’s OnDemand library includes thousands of hours of programming for all ages and interests. Categories include movies, TV series, local plays, music events, and children's programming which has hundreds of titles available free of cost.  Every month new content is added so that customers can always find something new and entertaining to watch.
