The public will once again be able to witness the heroics of Waterhouse as they captured their first Flow Cup and earned for themselves the prize of $1M. Waterhouse were without key players in Romario Campbell, the competitions leading scorer and creative midfielder Lamar Nelson along with inspirational defender Rohan Amos, all missing through injuries and suspension. This along with a recent 2-1 defeat at the hands of Tivoli saw Waterhouse enter the encounter as overwhelming underdogs.
With Tivoli unable to capitalize on their man advantage, partly due to resilient Waterhouse defending and swift counter-attacking football, the game went the distance. A plethora of chances ensued during the extra time period as fans consistently shouted for “Goal!” before being left to exclaim disbelief that the effort wasn’t converted. At the end of a captivating encounter fans were again treated with the rip-roaring penalty shootout.
Flow TV will be rebroadcasting the action of Monday night this weekend to allow fans to relive the excitement and enjoyment of the Flow Champions Cup All Island Knockout Final.
