Social Media Entrepreneur for Flow TV feature

Social media entrepreneur Lauren McClure has funnelled her passion for online media into growing her brands GoViral and Blast Jamaica. McClure counts among the new group of young Jamaican tech entrepreneurs who can have a profound impact on the growth and development of Jamaica’s economy. 

McClure conceptualized and operates the online marketing and social media company GoViral in addition to the recently formed Blast Jamaica, an online portal featuring discounted products and services to consumers. Blast Jamaica was coined out of McClure’s love for online media and a desire to connect consumers with merchants and suppliers offering discounted products and services.

“It’s just crazy to see how far we’ve come from to where we are now with four employees. We have grown at an exceptional rate in just the space of a year. I can only imagine what is going to happen in another year”, stated McClure as she expressed her surprise and satisfaction with the company’s growing success.

McClure’s foray into entrepreneurship will be the focus of the next episode of the new television series Your Money on the Edge. The series which premiered recently as part of Weekend Prime on FLOW TV seeks to inspire young Jamaicans with the entrepreneurship spirit by highlighting successes such as that achieved by McClure.

During the episode, the cameras follow McClure on her typical day. The feature begins in the home at the start of the day and tracks McClure to her workspace followed by an inside look into life outside of work. A key component of this and every episode is an examination of the issues faced by the young entrepreneurs and how they overcome the challenges.
