At the media launch held on Sunday, July 17, it was announced that LASCO iCool and LASCO LaSoy have gracefully ascended to major sponsors of the pageant in partnership with Uzuri International.
LASCO iCool will be sponsoring the swimsuit section of the pageant and LASCO LaSoy will be focused on the health and wellness journey of the contestants both allowing fans to vote for their winners and participate in the process.
“This year we’re going bigger, better and bolder,” declared Lyshon Davis, Brand Manager for iCool.
“LaSoy is very versatile and can be fun and sexy too and that’s what we hope to showcase through our partnership with Miss Universe Jamaica” said Kari Brown, Brand Manager for LaSoy
Karl Williams, National Director of Miss Universe Jamaica Organisation shared his delight of having LASCO on board.
“LASCO's wide cross-section of products fit squarely with the Miss Universe Jamaica's emphasis on beauty and wellness and therefore it's a no-brainer that we should have an alliance,” stated Williams. “Beyond that, they are also an organization with a heart and have supported us whole heartedly in our focus on charity. Giving us a solid platform for our contestants to give back to Jamaica and help build the nation."

LASCO Curves, an associate sponsor, has sashed Miss Universe hopeful Shadae Haye as Miss Curves for the pageant. Shadae Haye recently placed second runner up in the Miss Universe Jamaica Northwest 2016 pageant.
