LASCO iCool enters the Trinidad Market

LASCO Distributors Limited (LDL) has entered the Trinidad Market with its popular LASCO iCool juice drink brand through appointed distributor, Massy Trinidad.

Massy recently received four containers of LASCO iCool in addition to on the ground assistance from LASCO Distributors Export Manager, Paul Shoucair.

“We’re quite pleased with the response we’ve received so far from the Trinidad market,” noted Shoucair. “Over the past weekend we have been engaging in promotions and public sampling and the reaction from participants gives us high hopes that the brand will succeed in Trinidad as it has in Barbados, Guyana, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and Bahamas.”

In early November, LDL reported a significant increase in the export numbers for LASCO iCool in the Caribbean Market.

LASCO exported 100 containers to Barbados, Guyana, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and Bahamas in the four months prior to November. However, shipments surged to 82 containers within the month of November alone.

LDL has been pursuing an aggressive export strategy in the Caribbean. The move has resulted in expanded capacity, with the addition of another production line for beverages.

Chairman Chin is buoyed by the response of his Caribbean neighbours, even as he seeks to bring everyday family values to the region.

”The expansion continues as the demand for iCool grows in our new markets. We are encouraged by the warm reception from our neighbours and LASCO remains committed to providing excellent quality products at competitive prices,” Chin said.

“LASCO’s expansion signals confidence in the Jamaican economy, ” stated Vaz. “Not only has Lascelles Chin and his team created an outstanding product, but they have inspired players in the market, with the competitiveness of iCool. This foray into the regional market is a positive step and a vote of confidence in Jamaican products,” he added.

LASCO has embarked on a massive expansion project at the LASCO White Marl Facilities to create a LASCO manufacturing and distribution hub. In addition to large scale upgrades to warehouse storage and manufacturing capacity, LASCO is also taking giant steps towards expanding its export division.
