Peak Bottling to donate $1 from sales of Catherine’s Peak to Sigma Run Fund
Sagicor Foundation and Peak Bottling Company Limited, producers of Catherine’s Peak have announced a partnership to help raise funds toward the JMD$60 Million target for the 2017 Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run slated for Sunday, February 19.
One dollar (JMD$1) will be donated to the Sagicor Sigma Run from every purchase of a 500ml bottle of Catherine’s Peak water under the partnership.
Kadia Wright, Group Brand Marketing Manager, Peak Bottling Company Limited is excited about this new element of the partnership as Catherine’s Peak continues to be one of the biggest partners of the charity run.
“We have supported the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run as the “official hydration sponsor” for many, many years. The Run grows significantly each year, and with approximately 25,000 entrants for the 2017 staging, quite a lot of water is needed to keep participants sufficiently hydrated during the event. This year, we wanted to take it even further and this latest element of our support is certainly ground-breaking for a charity road race event, as monies from sales of our 500ml Spring Water product will be donated directly to the funds for the 2017 Sigma beneficiaries,” said Wright.
Catherine’s Peak has been partners of the Sagicor Sigma Corporate run since inception, providing product sponsorship to rehydrate runners, as well as for the various corporate teams in the ‘Tent City’, inside Emancipation Park on race day. Catherine’s Peak will also be part of the recycling project of the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run, along with the Recycling Partners of Jamaica. The project will see recycling and clean up efforts being done simultaneously to the race day activities.
The annual run will be held on Sunday, February 19, at 7:30 a.m. under the theme ‘Run for The Fun, Donate for The Cause’. The 19th staging of the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run is being staged under the patronage of Fr. Richard Ho Lung, Yohan Blake and Tessane Chin and aims to raise $JMD 60 Million for its beneficiaries.
