LASCO factory workers take the iDrade Cage Football Challenge for a test run.
iDrade Cage Football  is a ONE versus ONE knockout football challenge played in the confines of a cage. The first player to five goals or more goals within three minutes regulation period advances to the next round. A clean through the leg move or what we call a ‘salad’ or ‘nutmeg’ is recorded as an instant KO and a six to nil victory, despite the score of the game when the skill is performed.

Catherine Goodall, Marketing Manager – Beverages at LASCO Distributors Ltd is excited about the launch of the cage challenge because it will give people an exciting opportunity to show off real talent and control.

“The test runs that we did were very engaging and I feel the rest of Jamaica will see how fun and entertaining the game is, when we launch it on Saturday (July 15). Football is one of the sports that Jamaicans adore and this with this concept you don’t have to worry about putting a team together or about age and gender. We want women and young adults to come out and enter. Anyone who has ever had an argument with a friend or family member about who is better at football can end those debates with the LASCO iDrade Cage Football Challenge. It is great fun and it is for everyone so I am excited that LASCO iDrade is able to introduce it to Jamaica,” said Goodall.

The LASCO iDrade Cage Football Challenge will launch in Montego Bay on Saturday then Kingston and St. Andrew ballers will get their opportunity on Saturday, July 22 at Sampars Cash and Carry in Crossroads, 1-3 Retirement Road. The Challenge continues on Sunday, July 23 at Joong Supermarket and Wholesale in Portmore, 68 Newland Road before heading to the Santa Plaza, Main Street Santa Cruz in St. Elizabeth on Saturday, July 29. The final parish stop will be on Sunday, July 30 at Boundbrook Pavilion, Portland ahead of the National Final on Sunday, August 13.
